How come love never happen for some people? 99 never been in a relationship?

When i was 20 years of age i was looking for love and for years i could not find it. people said to me stop looking and get one with enjoying life and said if I was looking i will never find it and it will only happen unexpectedly. so at the age of 25 I stopped looking and got on with my life and I was not thinking about love as believed it will happen one day. But today It has still not happen I am 99 years of age and I been single for my whole life.
